The Cabin Control Module 10 is a 10-inch color touchscreen. It has switching inputs and outputs primarily used to control items that are close to the display control module. Functionality and menu design are both highly configurable. Installation is a straight forward process requiring a minimal number of steps and tools.
The FDCCM10 consists of a high resolution liquid crystal display and touchscreen overlay. The firmware creates a multi level button based menu system which is fully customizable based on the customers needs. The FDCCM10 contains inputs and outputs primarily intended to control items located in close proximity (<2 meters) to the CCM. It has CAN, RS-485 and RS-232 computer interfaces. It has four high side outputs and two low side outputs, which are under computer control. The high side switches have a 2 amp source output, and the low side switches have a 2 amp sink output. Like the FDCCM3, the FDCCM10 includes a micro SD card for configuration updates. The micro SD card slot is on the back of the device. The FDCCM10 has no optional audio headphone jack.
The terminology “high side driver” is used to describe a driver which has a 28 volt output. These can be a continuous or momentary 28 volts when it is active. Typically, devices such as lights use these drivers. “Low side driver” refers to a ground output. These can be momentary or continuous when it is active. Commonly, devices such as window shades and lavatory flush devices use these drivers. A low side driver would provide a momentary ground for a flush or a constant ground to move a window shade up or down. The “digital input” of the accessory interface node is an input, which requires between 18V and 36V DC power to activate, and between 0V and 3V DC power to deactivate (voltages between the range of 3V and 18V are not a sufficient change to activate or deactivate the input). One type of digital input could be from a water level sensor, which may have a DC signal to activate. The firmware would read the input signal and display the correct indication on the control module.
Electrical connections to the have a 12-inch cable exiting the bottom of the display. The wires terminate with a free hanging D style male connector with backshell. The connector contains pins for power, power return (ground) and CAN bus. It also has data input pins, which read the status of external equipment and control output pins that take control of external equipment. External equipment can include lights, seat heaters, window shades, etc.
